The Untold Story of Poppy and Ben’s Exit From LEGO Masters Season 4

LEGO Masters, is recognised for exhibiting the ingenuity and ability of its contestants as they create magnificent structures from small bricks.

However, in the midst of Season 4’s excitement, viewers were left bewildered when two beloved participants, Ben and Poppy, mysteriously vanished from the competition.

Each week on LEGO Masters, some of the world’s top LEGO artisans team up to build unique products created entirely out of the small bricks you’ve stepped on at least once. LEGO Masters is among the lighter and more frivolous, and that’s exactly how the show should be.

During Episode 6, though, some candidates disappeared, causing those watching the show to speculate about what happened to them. Here’s all we know about why Poppy and Ben had to leave LEGO Masters early.

What happened To Poppy and Ben on ”LEGO Masters?”

During week 6 of the show’s fourth season, aired on Nov. 1, 2023, many fans quickly noted that Poppy and Ben were gone from the remaining candidates’ lineup even though they needed to be eliminated.

Host Will Arnett addressed their absence almost quickly, but his explanation may have needed to be more pleasing to everyone in the crowd.

“Looking around, I’m sure you’ve already noticed that we’re missing two very special people,” Will stated. “Unfortunately, due to health considerations, Poppy and Ben cannot continue in the tournament. They will be missed.”

Poppy (aka David) and Ben were a grandpa and grandson combo that had been successful in the tournament. They had even been proclaimed the winners during week 3. Unfortunately, the show didn’t offer any additional explanation as to what happened to them.

Following the news that Ben and Poppy had departed from “LEGO Masters” Ben now took it to Instagram to thank fans who had shown concern.

Ben claimed that Poppy ” got sick” during the show’s fifth episode, and there wasn’t enough time in the production schedule for him to quarantine adequately.

Ben was quick to add, though, that Poppy had since recovered and was now doing OK. Ben added that they didn’t want to leave the show but ” had a ton of fun building with the rest of the cast.”

Reality series like these sometimes shoot on very tight schedules, making problems like illness difficult to overcome.

The tight timelines also help keep the concerts relatively cheap, which is one reason why Ben and Poppy may have been pushed to depart instead of just waiting out his illness.

Thankfully, Poppy’s illness wasn’t something that a little bed rest couldn’t remedy. Unfortunately, in the ruthless world of reality TV, bed rest isn’t always in the cards.
